TeamSite 6.7 on Solaris 10

This is regarding installing TeamSite 6.7 on Solaris 10 on "Ultra 45" SPARC machine.

We have successfully installed TS but it does not startup. iwserver.log shows "iwstart: ERROR: The kernel driver should have been installed by now."

We have installed J2SE Solaris 10 Recommended Patch Cluster. This patch is applied to "SUNWcart200" and "SUNWust1" packages, which we do not have as they seem to be irrelevant to our machine/hardware.

1. Has anyone tried installing TS 6.7 on Ultra 45 SPARC?
2. Is it mandatory to have the packages mentioned above?
3. Has anyone tried / faced this before?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Did you do the installation as root? or via sudo?

After installing 6.5 on Solaris 9, we got this error too when we tried to start TS without rebooting the server after the install... the error message was actually quite explicit about that Smiley Wink

iwstart: ERROR: The kernel driver should have been installed by now.
iwstart: ERROR: Did you reboot after installing TeamSite?

so... did you reboot server?

We did 'su root'; not 'sudo'. And yes we did shutdown -i6 after installation.

TS installation manual says not to use 'sudo su' instead of 'su -'.

Does it mean installing TS as 'su -' is just as fine as installing as 'root' ?

the manual said the same in 6.5. We always install with "su -", just fine. (we have 6.5 on Solaris 9)

Thanks. We just tried to install TS by login as 'root'.

Boy... it still gives me the same problem. I think we can conclude that its not a login problem. It has to be something else.

Has anyone come across this problem?

FYI, we are also talking to the IW support folks.
