how to move entire content store on Win2k

Hi ,

Using TS 6.1 Win2k SP4 .

My content store is in C: drive ( ie., c:\iw-store ) . Very less space is left in C: drive now .
So I want to move entire store from C: drive (C:\iw-store) to

drive ( ie.,

\iw-store ) .

I have serached manuals , but got the articles which were related with moving content store in UNIX environemnt , not on WINDOWS ( ie., in unix installation there is a file called 'iwstore' which we edit and give the path for new loation of content store , then move the store to new location ) .

Could any one list down the steps required to move content store from one Drive on windows to another drive on windows .

Have you read the admin manual first? Specifically iwstoreadm.exe? You said you did, but I am not sure what was you were searching for

Hi,
I have in my mind that the iw-store location on a windows system is stored in the windows registry below HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Interwoven\TeamSite.
Before you change anything there you should do a full server backup and contact support, cause I don't know, if the changing of a registry value is a supported procedure.

In order to make sure I have a good backup, i occasionally restore the data-store to a different location (drive and path). Here are my steps.

Stop Interwoven Teamsite, Interwoven Proxy and OpenDeploy service

Change the iw-store registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Interwoven\TeamSite
to the new location

First - Backup your iw-store

Then, copy the iw-store to the new location

reboot the server

When the server reboots, it will read the registry key which over-rides the setting in the iw.cfg file if you have one.

Make sure your data-store is intact by editing, submitting and use workflows.

That should do it!
