question of livesite product

I have a web application using livesite product.
In the web application had some .page file, and it can be serviced by servlet.

But if I put some new .page file to the web application, it can be used.
I must redeploy the web application, then the new .page can be used.

How can I do something let the new .page can be used, and I don't
redeploy the web application. Does the key is about cache of JCS?
How can I set the configuration of JCS?

In my mind, I think the .page is a little like .jsp, they will be serviced by Application Server or servlet. I don't change any thing about servlet or configuration of Web application. Why I need redeploy the web application?

Does somebody have any suggest, please tell me, thanks.

what version of Livesite are you using?

what is the name of your page?

there was an issue pre 2.2.1 Livesite where mixed case pages were not getting
deployed correctly.

You should be able to deploy in dividual pages to your site.

Your mind is correct, we designed .page similar to .jsp: it is deployed as a file, but when it is served, it is processed before being returned with the response.

However, we also cache the results of this processing for performance reasons. If you change a .page the cache must be flushed. Redeploying the web app will flush the cache. But that is very inconvenient, so there is also a mechanism to indicate to the server which files to flush by writing a file. The default submit workflow will write the file that directs the server to flush the cache for that page.

It sounds like your deployment is either not writing the file or deploying the file. To help debug this please see the questions in the post above. It might also help to look at the log files for TeamSite, LiveSite run-time, and OpenDeploy.
