Uploading the .gif by the DCT

Hi,
I want to uplode the .gif files to the teamsite server by the DCT .
So that i can change the picture as per my requirements.
There should be an text area in the dct where i will put the path of
the .gif file which is in my local pc,then upload it to the server .
I would be thankful if u help me in this regard.

If i want to upload any file by dct how to do that?
I have folders lets say image & Include in the teamsite server.
I want the uploaded files from dct will remain in those folders.
means all the uploaded .gif files in image folder & files in the includes
folder.

You need to write your own custom CGI (or hook into an existing CCI URL - see the TeamSite User Interface Customization Guide for more details) to be run as a cgi-callout to perform the upload and placement of the files - the CGI should take care of both (uploading and placement within TS workarea) before setting the path in the text field to be workarea-relative.

You would also need to make sure that any workflow that is used to process a DCR containing such paths verifies that those files are also reviewed/submitted/deployed.

Creating upload scripts has been discussed in one or more of the forums before - but you can find code for generic upload scripts using google (or your favorite web search engine) - you then have to take the code and modify it to work within the context that you desire.

you have to use cgi-callout to upload the images and files.

To put these files to specific folder you have to write the script which will put the files under their respective folders.

As for the scripts you can download them from net.

Here's a file upload set (one file to prompt for upload files, the other to process the upload). This should get you started. I have been using this with multiple clients with great success. Usually this would be modified as necessary to limit file type, user access, etc.

Hi Jeremy,

We have a similar script but the file does not get uploaded. We get a permission denied error since the script runs as iwui. Is there a possible resolution to this?
