Capturing Field For Creation Date

Hi Everyone,

I have a DCT field called Creation Date. Intially, when DCT opens up its readonly with default text Date of Submission. I create and save DCR. Now, I open up saved DCR and I would like Creation Date to be capture in the field. Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

Just for clarification - I know I can run CLT - iwattrib crdate but question is how do I capture the information into the field.

Environment: TS 6.5 & Win2003 SP1

You can always use FormAPI to modify a field, every time you edit a DCR.

I dont need to modify a field. I need to capture it. I am sorry if I am being confused.

I would like Creation Date to be capture in the field.

In which field you would like to capture the creation date?? Not clear what your requirement is, but has previous reply has already mentioned most of work regarding content manipulation can be done using formAPI.

You can read the content of the field and put it in another field if you want to capture from readonly field also.
