Running Designer on Windows 7 x64

I am running the designer on my local workstation, which is Windows 7 x64.  Using the "install deployment service locally" work-around, I am able to design and publish to my development environment on Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2.  However, everytime I exit the Application, I get a windows error saying that the program is looking for "flash.ocx".  I assume that since the flash only runs in 32-bit mode, this error is generated.  I just wonder if parts of the designer are not working properly?

Any information from Metastorm on this?

  • I've been running all lfavours of Metastorm BPM 9 on Windows 7 64bit, and I have never seen that issue. It sounds like something wrong with something you have installed that the Designer relies on, eg .Net. Have you applied all patches?

I als have not seen the issue reported here or our own forums.

  • Can you get the debugger working Win 7 x64 as well?  I cannot get it working.  It might also be due to my running as administrator under UAC?  Thoughts?

  • No, never did, but then I gave up using Visual Studio a long time ago (I used to be a C++ developer, but I'm better now....;-). Our .Net guys have not tried it yet on W7

I could not get the 'Process Activator' working either, but I believe that is possible.
