Need information about Editable Grid(Metastorm BPM 9.1 Version)
Hi,
I am currently using Metastorm BPM 9.1 version , I would like to know about the options for the following:
How to make a Grid editable that is bound to Query type Business Object.
Thanks,

You'll need to use a table BO and make surethat you have a primary key on the table.
Hope this helps.

In addition (because it is often asked), you need to make the field itself 'optional', which is easiest done on the form by setting the default behaviour, and set the columns you want to be editable to optional or required.
Note that you cannot set a default order for table BO's (which I find very annoying).

Hi,
I need to use query as BO instead of using table BO. Is there any work around to having query as BO?
Thanks,
Sath

Editable grids can only be used with table BOs.
If you wish to use a query based BO then you will need to construct a form with a non-editable grid and editable fields. The fields can be populated using the on-click event handler of the grid and the underlying data source can be updated through an update button once the fields have been updated. New records can be added to the grid via an add button but you will need to manage the visibility of buttons etc depending on context.
Whilst this may not sound as neat as an editable grid it can in many instances provide a fuller interface for editing datasets - e.g. summary information in a grid with full details and more records provided for editing - it depends on your particular application though.
Hope this helps.
