Oracle Client
Hi guys,
Box 1:
Metastorm BPM Engine server - Win 2008 R2 64 bit
(same box) Metastorm Database - MSSQL 2008 64 bit
Box 2:
Another box for business data - Win 2003 R2 32 bit
(same box) Oracle 10g 32 bit
I am trying to retrieve some data from Box 2 to Box 1.
designer was perfect that I can view tables and retrieve data.
until I get "Failed to execute deployed method 'ListOptions', using entity 'Dropdown1'. New transaction cannot enlist in the specified transaction coordinator." during attempt to populate data into dropdown.
I have tried oracle 10g client software 32 bit and 64 bit on Box 1 and it's no good.
according to http://metastorm.processmapping.com.au/post/Oracle-connect-4751543?pid=1273109072#post1273109072
I am trying with oracle 11g client software 32 bit and 64 bit on Box 1 now, which it's my last resort.
Can anyone help me on this issue?
Thanks in advance.

when i set the connection type to Database:
and during populating dropdown, it returns
"Failed to execute deployed method 'ListOptions', using entity 'Dropdown1'. ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
when i set the connection type to ODBC Database:
and during populating dropdown, it returns
"Failed to execute deployed method 'ListOptions', using entity 'Dropdown1'.
The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application"

finally i got it works!
as Jerome pointed out, the Designer uses 64 bit connection, while the Engine uses 32 bit connection.
therefore both listener for 32 bit and 64 bit must be setup accordingly.

I had this issue and was able to resolve by unchecking the 'Use DTC' in the Oracle database connection.
