Making fields mandatory

Hi

i need to make a field mandatory when visible and not mandatory when not visible. the field is dependent on another field.

That is the standard behaviour if a field is set to 'required'.

When in a panel it is different, since if the panel is hidden it does not really make the contained fields hidden, but in that case just make the fields' visibility dependent on the same field(s) as the panel.

What is the problem that you are facing?
