Is there a future for Execute360 RBE?

By David Berglund

We make heavy use of Execute360 RBE and are interested in knowing if there are any plans to further enhance it's features and capabilities. What is the future of RBE?

There are no plans to further enhance RBE. The high volume capture capability of RBE is deprecated by the availability of the XML import extensible worksteps. The XML Worksteps were introduced in release 9.21 and are also shipped with release 10. To ease transition from RBE processing to XML workstep processing, the XML worksteps are designed to import batches formatted for RBE (in addition to it's preferred XML based data definition file format). Going forward, capture processes can be updated to create batches using the XML schema defined for the XML worksteps in place of the old RBE DDF file format.

RBE was last relased in version 9.21. There will not be an r10 or later release of the RBE software. Customers are encouraged to implement the XML import worksteps and use them to replace their RBE processes.
