Function to Compare and Merge two models/notebooks in ProVision 6.3.1

Is there an function available in ProVision 6.3.1 to compare the differences and MERGE two models/notebooks?

I'm aware of Interface --> Provision Objects --> Import from file option available in ProVision 6.3.1 to merge an imported notebook file with the currently open notebook file. Could we view the comparison results of the models/notebooks and pick/select the individual objects before merging?

Hello Saran,

In v9.0.0, as part of the Governance functionality we've added an ability to run a comparison report between your two versions. So, if you were to merge your data, and then check your data back in, you could then compare what you'd just checked in with the previous version... and then from that assess if those are changes you'd like to retain and migrate your production marker to your latest check-in.

Thanks a lot for the response. Good to hear about the compare & merge function available for two versions of the same model using KE Server. But I'm looking for a function in ProVision to compare Two different models and merge them. It should also list the differences between the two models to select and merge.

Note: Currently I'm using the import objects from a file function to merge with the current model (two different models) in ProVision 6.3.1.

Hi Saran,

It sounds like what you want would be a good enhancement request. Currently you cannot merge two models with unlike names and compare the differences/results in this manner in ProVision. I would suggest submitting an enhancement to the IDEAS section of MCC.
