Windows Mobile Support for AppWorks

Hi There

I know that a long time ago that there was Windows Mobile client support at least thought about in the Roadmap for the AppWorks Gateway / Tempo platform - however I see in the latest roadmaps it is not listed. Can I confirm that Windows Mobile support is not currently planned for Appworks and/or Tempo in the foreseeable future?

Hi Matthew,

We have considered a Windows Mobile Client and it is likely to be on a future roadmap, there would need to be some solid commercial reasons for building one.

Is this something that you need in your organisation?

Thanks Chris,

I am assisting an organisation that is looking upgrade paths of OpenText and they have internally looking at Windows Mobile/Windows 10 tablet in their mobile strategy - however there is no support for Windows Mobile.

I support the alternative question would be, if there is a Windows 10 application for Tempo, could this be turned into a universal application to support all windows 10 devices?

Hi Matthew,

In theory with the current release if there were a Windows client for Tempo it would indeed support AppWorks apps as well, this is not the case with the 16 release though.

The answer to the question "If OpenText builds a Windows 10 Client will it work across desktop, mobile and tablet", then the answer would be Yes.
