FinderError - Error Finding object....

Hi,

From time to time, our users experience the error(pop up) below while trying to open up a CI or after saving:

Unable to invoke method: load
06/29/2012 10:58:35:796, Error 11 (FinderError), Message 026-150-0011: Error finding object(s)... [Lcom.vignette.as.client.common.ref.ManagedObjectRef;@67c65d1

Wondering if anyone else has received this error ? What causes this error? Is there anyway to stop it from happening?

The good thing - error is intermittent and does not seem to have any ill effects. The bad thing is -it's hard to convince our users that nothing is wrong and all is ok.

This is an annoying error and somewhat frequent when running vgnexport. Since you are not running an export, the error is probably related one of two things.

1. there's a related content instance association that is missing. so your users are opening a content item that's related to another content item that's missing/ deleted/ or maybe moved. I'd check the content instance associations. You can do this via the API - or try vcmtools.

2. there could be an issue with search. so you could try to run an index. But I don't think this is the reason, it's most likely the above.

You'll have to delete the related content association - to get rid of the above error. Since you mentioned that it happens occasionally, you probably have a number of content items with this problem.
