connect portal with builder

We have a builder running on server A and portal server running on server A. And Portal A is also connected to builder A which is working fine. Now we have installed another new portal server B which we want to connect to the same builder A.

Can anyone helps us what configuration is required on new portal server B so that it can also talk to the same builder A?

Hi,

At a time Builder can talk to only one portal and builder stores these portal details in builder_install.properties file.

Below are the steps to configure the new Portal server to existing builder.

<![if !supportLists]>1. <![endif]>Change the Portal details from builder console(http://<host>:<port>/builder/direct) i.e.. configuration tab-> portal and also in builder_install.properties.

<![if !supportLists]>2. <![endif]>Copy builder.car file from portal_assets folder of builder install directory to <portal_install>/deployment/upload folder( Here Portal_ install is new portal server

<![if !supportLists]>3. <![endif]>Now restart the builder and Portal twice.

<![if !supportLists]>4. <![endif]>Now your Portal running on Server B will be connected to builder which is running on server A.

Note1: Now your existing connection of Portal running on ServerA with Builder running on Server A will be gone. Now you can see the builder data in Portal running on Server B.

Thanks for your response Shravan!

We are looking to connect Builder A with both Portal Server A and B. The way you suggested will make a connection with Portal B, and it will remove connection from Portal A.

So we are trying to connect same Builder A to both the portal server A and B. I know this can be possible but didn't get any information on any of the Portal or Builder docs.
