Synchronization not working when galleryImages are generated from normals attribte

In Epson environment they have a custom Hybris type "EpsonProduct". It inherits the same attributes that are in default "Product" type under Multimedia.

The way we setup, when user assigns normal then we automatically generate formats for thumbnails and galleryImages. This is working as expected. But when user tries to synchronize it is failing. So we investigated and found that if we remove the auto assignment in galleryImages the synch seems to be working fine.

Do you have any idea on what's causing this?

    Hi!

    There is some known issue if you use "Automatically update to latest asset version" and galleryImages and item synchronization from e.g. Staged to Online. That issue appears on subsequent synchronization but should work for initial synchronization. That issue is planned to fix for PATCHES_DC-100501 (DAMLINK_HYBRIS-010501-001), scheduled this month January 2015.

    Can you described the steps done a bit more and specifically if it works in case you don't use "Automatically update to latest asset version"?

    The synchronization seems to fail again. Below is only thing we see in the log.

    Even I cannot reproduce the issue in my local environment. They are going to rebuild their QA environment tomorrow morning.

    Will see if that will resolve it.

    Hi,

     

    Since there’s a potential that this could be a bug, or might need to be closer looked at, you should channel this through Support and make sure to send across all log files from the hybris installation related to the timeframe of the error Please submit:

    <![if !supportLists]>1)     <![endif]>Hybris tomcat console log

    <![if !supportLists]>2)     <![endif]>the dedicated DAMLink/OTMM integration log <hybris_home>\hybris\log\otmm_connector\otmm_inte.log

    <![if !supportLists]>3)     <![endif]>the configuration in local.properties (or project.properties) wherever you changed it

    <![if !supportLists]>4)     <![endif]>normally also the mediamanager-appserver.log from OTMM side from same time period should be submitted, in this case since the synch does not communicate with OTMM as such that is probably not needed (but always good practice)

     

    You can still CC me and Xaver from Engineering on the support request. But we must take this through proper support channel to have a closer look.
