Strange Preview problem

Using Teamsite 671 on Solaris. Preview and generate work for the root user. But a regular user gets a utild error code 4, trying to generate or preview. The regular user is able to edit the DCR just fine, the problem happens with preview / generate. The preview folder has 777. I see a bunch of zz files in the preview folder where root created them. Cleared those out, just for grins but that did not help. Any ideas

Who owns the workarea ? Is it shared to a group ? does the TSIMP_ user have permission to write to that WA ?

Do templates work anywhere on the system or is it just this branch/workarea ?

Nope... zz files show up only when root's previewing.

Its a shared workarea. The regular user plus pretty much everyone has access to it.

Do templates work anywhere on the system or is it just this branch/workarea ?

I'll need a couple hours to check this out...

Also there are a couple of files that are setuid to root, do you have a process that prevents setuids ? That is not uncommon in corp America.
