LiveSite working with an existing tomcat webapp

Hi,

We have an existing tomcat webapp, 50 instances of the same webapp sitting behind a load balancer.

We want to use IWOV (maybe only 2-3 instances of it) to search targeted content, and ensure the effectiveness of the content is tracked, and in future, we can leverage the multivariant testing feature from Optimost.

So it almost sounds like the entry point of the website is still the existing tomcat webapp, and IWOV just provides some content of DIV page layout type.

The 3rd requirement would be that the content rule will be reviewable in TeamSite.

1. How to define a sitemap that reflects such a site? Do I have to specify the Primary Site?

2. I can create custom tag library to retrieve the targeted content from the LiveSite (assuming in comes back as DIV)?

Any customer uses Sitemesh along with IWOV?

LiveSite 3.1 will ship a tag library, which you can deploy in your webapp and integrate Livesite content into your JSPs.

How does people do it now in lieu of 3.1 beta?

I am sure many people solved this problem without 3.1 beta, not to mention 3.1 beta takes a while to become production. Does anyone know the timeline?
