Comments

  • For Linux/Unix: 6.7 and below is 32-bit, 7.x and above is 64-bit

  • You can also double-check using command:
    $ file $DM_HOME/bin/documentum

    MEOW

Thanks for you prompt response, there was no file with name documentum. When i tried to execute the command it gave me -bash: /u01/app/documentum/product/6.7/bin: is a directory.

Its saying the missing parameters but there is no parameter which gives the version

    [dmadmin@contst01doc bin]$ $file documentum

    Program error: Missing parameter: docbase_name
    Program error: Missing parameter: database_conn
    Program error: Missing parameter: database_owner
    Program error: Missing parameter: database_password_file
    Program error: Missing parameter: service
    Program error: Missing parameter: docbase_id

    Usage: documentum -docbase_name -init_file [-o]

    -docbase_name : name of docbase
-init_file : name of server.ini file (including path) which
                    contains the server startup parameters

  • [dmadmin@contst01doc bin]$ file ./documentum

    MEOW

i used the below command but it is not giving whether the installed is 32 bit or 64 bit, do u know any specific command?

    **documentum -version
    Documentum Release Version: 6.7.2170.0186 Linux.Oracle

  • Why bother? I already told you that it's 32-bit.

cool, thanks a lot brother. But just curious to know whether it was mentioned some where in the configurations.
Because in later version i know it was mentioned like linux64 and win32 if windows etc.

  • Hi Abhilash. Prior to 7.x version, there was only 32 bit version for Linux. This is why you will not see it in any configuration file. Only Windows had a 64 bit version prior to release 7.x.
