Software Suitable for developing Data Analytics Software

We are in process of developing a inhouse software/tool which can be used for data mining and analytics of retail/pharma customer detail . This tool should be ideally accessed on web and provision for web services too.

Which programming framework is more suitable for such a purpose. We are evaluating Java and .net. Could someone experienced on such technology evaluation exercise , compare the benefits of one against the other

The OpenText Analytics reporting tool (formerly BIRT/iHub) has been integrated into a product called Magellan. Magellan includes the capability to do data mining on a very large range of data sources. It also has advanced AI to assist in processing the data. It is a Java based product. It's not clear if you are interested in using a framework like Magellan or if you are developing your own standalone application. In either case, I am not the best person to discuss your options. I will reach out to an OpenText solutions specialist.

Also, there is a link to "Live Chat" in the footer of this page. The customer service representatives that respond to chats do not have in-depth knowledge of individual products, but if you ask to speak with a solutions specialist for the Magellan Analytics Suite, they should be able to get someone to contact you quickly. It's just another option I wanted to mention to make sure you get the information you need.
