Component cache

OK trying to correlate component cache time to what I see in JCS Admin. 

 

 

I edited a page and changed the cache for all components to 1 hour, saved and pushed it out.

 

When I look at the page data in JCS Admin I see 

 

Max Life = -1

TillExpirations = -1938

 

 

What gives ? Shouldn't I see 3600 or something less, until expiration?

 

I am seeing memory hits,  so I am happpy about that.

The TTL on the cache region will always be -1 so that it can support up to "forever". I don't believe JCS allows you to set TTL on specific items within that cache, or I haven't seen that be the case in iwov's config. AFAIK when LiveSite hits the cache, it'll then check (within Java code) whether that item has expired on the LiveSite-set TTL in the XML content and then react accordingly.
