Hello,
I´m pretty new with Birt - I saw it at a customer site and I try to understand, how I can work with this tool.
At the customer site we are using a BIRT-report analysing data within an Oracle-DB with a few users. As far as I understood, BIRT is running on a Tomcat-server
Everytime we do a refresh or start the report, the statements are executed which takes nearly 1 minute. Can I do any changes within BIRT that the staements are not executed everytime but e.g. only every 5minutes which would be o.k.
Regards
Herbert

Hi Herbert:
BIRT 2.3 will support generation of report document:
http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/project/notable2.3M6.php#jump_6

And you can build a mechanism in your application that will control how often this document is generated.
