Books on BIRT

Hi Sudharshan,

I've gone through the "Practical Data Analysis and Reporting with BIRT" book, by John Ward. It's a good introductory tutorial for BIRT beginners. A review over that book done by Actuate/Birt-Exchange can be found here:

The Eclipse series book, "BIRT: A Field Guide to Reporting", would also be a good book to have. It goes over getting started with BIRT, but also goes more in-depth into the features of BIRT.

The "Integrating and Extending BIRT" book goes more into the BIRT framework, scripting, and the APIs. Not really for learning all the basic functionalities of BIRT.

I have not seen the 4th book that is on Amazon, so I cannot comment on it. Maybe somebody else on here has used it and can comment.

Hope this helps you in your decision.

Regards,
