Database Problems after Upgrade to 2.3

Hi, All.

For a while I've been running an embedded report engine (with Birt 2.2) without incident.

I'm using Tomcat 6 with a JNDI database connection specified in the web application's context.xml.

After upgrading to 2.3, Birt runs OK for a little while and then starts timing out on acquiring database connections. The only way to fix it is to restart Tomcat.

Apparently Birt isn't returning database connections to the connection pool. I do a runTask.close() after running the report. Is there any other way to force Birt to surrender its database connections?
