Mimic the topdown flow in Actuate

I need to mimic the topdown flow and I have done the following, but I run into issues when we cross pages.

From an example, I have a grid with 3 tables side by side and I am currently using the Oracle rownum to limit the results each table, but the flow is straight down the page and I am not quite sure how to mimic the topdown flow in the Actuate report.

Thx

I was afraid you were going to say that (still one of the things that e.Reports does better than BIRT). On the DevShare there a re two examples, however in both cases the number of rows in each column needs to be known ahead of time. This will work if the height of each row is constant. It is much more difficult if that is not the case. One would need to be able to calculate how many rows will fit in each column (I don't have such an example). So I am hoping your case is for fixed row height.

http://www.birt-exchange.org/devshare/_/designing-birt-reports/1346-eclipsecon-2011-hands-on-tips-from-the-birt-forums-examples

http://www.birt-exchange.org/devshare/_/designing-birt-reports/1076-columns-flowing-newspaper-style
0
