Extending a Table to a Certain Number of Rows with Alternating Row Color
This example shows how to extend a table group to be a certain number of rows with alternating row color even if there is not enough data on the page to force the table towards the bottom. This is done by adding extra group footer rows and keeping track of how many rows are on a page and using that value to determine how many of the group footer rows to show and how many to hide using the visibility expression.<br />

This report was designed in BIRT 2.6.2, but the concept should work for all versions. Fixed row heights are assumed in this example, though this could be done with multi-line rows if you were able to calculate a good estimate of the lines in each row.
