XHTML 1.0 Strict Validation

Has anyone experienced the inability to validate code using XHTML 1.0 strict for all interwoven tags used in the presentation (TPL) file?

Has anyone experienced the inability to validate code using XHTML 1.0 strict for all interwoven tags used in the presentation (TPL) file?

There are actually XML and non-XML PT Formats, non-XML PTs may superficially resemble *real* XML.
If PTs you validate are indeed in XML Format, has CDATA bracketing been used correctly?

Whatever the case, why would anybody care?

My problem is with performing an HTML and CSS validation of my pages, we are using XHTML 1.0 strict to define our pages:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

And while validating the page that I have generated from a TeamSite template that has "iw" tags such as <iw_pt name"=templatename"> fail the page validation with errors such as

"The tag name "iw_pt" Not found in current active versions.[XHTML 1.0 strict]"

It appears that all <iw> tags fail during validation and not recognized.

Wondering how anyone else using the templates is correcting this problem, finding a way around or simply just ignoring it?

Ah, sorry Goot, I misunderstood your issue completely. Thought you are validating presentation templates, not generated Pages.

That said, you generate what you generate. Look at a template as your own little program - that's what it actually is. If generated
HTML does not conform to strict XHTML standards you change your program so that it does. Please note that very presence of un-evaluated
IWOV Tags in the resulting (generated) code is a sign of serious problems in your PT, perhaps incorrect use of CDATA bracketing
and the like. If you can put together short but representative sample (DCT, PT, Resulting Page), I'll take a look.
