How to embed/attach files in email of workflow

Hi All,
what are options present to send emails which have html content and also attach document/other files with the email during workflow execution in Teamsite.

For example: user is deploying a pdf to a web server and also wants to send it out as email once the deployment to web-server is completed.Email contain a html formatted body(rich text with different fonts/colors,images , links and also need to attached 1 or more pdf/other docs which are getting deployed.

Any pointer will be really appreciated.

Please note: I am not using workflowmodeler.

If you're not using WFM - is it safe to assume that you're using Perl scripts to send the email? If so - look at the module(s) being used for sending the email in the script(s) and run perldoc on them to see whether or not they handle attachments. If so, you have your answer there. If not, you need to find another script or create one that uses another module - one that does support attachments. It's not overly difficult - just read and follow the module documentation.

Hi Boris,
I tried your sample code but when i m trying to give full path of file(the file is in teamite )as attachment ,its showing me a error with file path not readable.i think since teamsite require authentication before any access for files in teamsite so my ipl file is not able to read the file directly for attachement and it's failing.Can you please suggest a way.

You generate mail from some external Task. Task's process gets executed under some effective Uid,
normally Task Owner. Does this Account have reading rights to the attachment source File?
Note that you do not have to worry about external task authentication, wf engine takes care of that for you.

Other than that, there is not much I can propose without looking at code...
