Can I run Imaging for Windows on a Multi-Processor system?

edited June 21, 2018 in Configuration

License resets with Multi Processor Computers

The Imaging for Windows license is tied to a single processor on the computer that it has been installed on. With Multi processor systems the license will reset and require Imaging for Windows to be re-registered if it attempts to verify the license with one of the other processors.

Special note for Virtual Machines:

If the virtual machine is hosted on a system with more than one processor, The Imaging for Window license is not effected, however, if the virtual machine itself has more than one processor, this problem will still occur.

It recommended that Imaging for Windows not be installed Multiprocessor systems.
