Is there a specific driver to connect to SSAS 2005 like the "XMLAServer" connector of Jasperreport ?
I have encounter error when trying to add the XmlaOlap4jDriver to BIRT (JDK 1.6).

Below is the error i received when i made a connection test:

Class org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity.drivers.jdbc.JDBCConnection can not access a member of class org.olap4j.driver.xmla.XmlaOlap4jDriver with modifiers "protected"

Hi, try the following :
Install an XML/A ODA (attached is just an example)
Configure this XML/A interface and follow the steps shown in the link (this is for MSAS 2008), "How to set up XMLA HTTP Access for SQL Server Analysis Service" http://blogs.infragistics.com/blogs/atanas_dyulgerov/archive/2010/01/27/how-to-set-up-xmla-http-access-for-sql-server-analysis-service-2008-and-access-the-adventure-works-2008-from-an-infragistics-pivotgrid-application.aspx
Create a BIRT report using the ODA with URL : http://localhost/olap/msmdpump.dll
Pick a Cube and do any MDX query to get data from the Cube.0 -

Thank you for your response JRIGLAR.<br />
For the SSAS http access, it's already done.<br />
I never used the ODA Datasource, i put the .Jars files under the plugins folder (Eclipse-BIRT), i go into the ODA Datasource node (on Eclipse Data Explorer) but nothing declared...<br />
Usually i use JDBC, it's the first time i use ODA datasource so can you send me some instructions to install your package.<br />
<br />
You will find a screenhot showing the step where my fingers freezed <br />

Thank you in advance.1 -
