Getting values from Voice control script

Hi,

I would like to get the return values or any input values or return any flag values in specific transaction in VoiceScript. I would like to mark that contact no and report to the user or block that contact no because of invalid response from that person. Is it possible to get back the values in jobsubmit or voicescript.

You can use the FormDataRequest to retrieve the data. See the following sampl:

It is for an sms so you will need to make the vcs changes. Also specify "XDDS" instead of "MR" for the Domain.

Is it possible to get the formdata associated with a particular JobId? I don't see anything in the request. Nor do I see anything in the response to correlate a formdata response to a voice job. I see that JobDetail has some fields for getting activity from the caller (ex: opt_out) here: https://apiforums.easylink.com/emapidocs/24/JobDetail/JobDetailItemKeywords.html

Are there fields that can be used in JobDetail to get the form data information?

You can use the FormDataRequest. See the following URL for details.

There is also a FormDataRequest sample for C# and VB. You can find it by doing a search for sample.

I've looked that over, but I still don't see how I would corellate a JobId with the FormDataRequest/FormDataResult? Is @sequenceNumber the same as JobId (XDN/MRN)?

No, apologies for the delay, try to get answers in at least a day. The form data contains the job number. This is from a response to a request.

So you can connect the data to a job number.
