How to specify email address in To, CC...

I'm trying to send emails using EasyLink Messaging API. Is there a way to specify cc and bcc options for the email? Also, is there a way to specify multiple email address in the ‘To’ line of the email?

 

How do I specify merge fields? Can I multi line text in the merge fields?

There is no way to specify cc or bcc options for the email, and each message goes to only a single recipient, so there can only be one address in the to: line. This ensures that the message can be precisely tracked (i.e. we know exactly who read it).

 

Merge fields in email messages are known as "inserts", and are specified in message text, subject line, and text attachments using the following syntax: (I1) (I2) (I3).

 

The insert values are provided as part of the destination list. They can be provided directly in the input XML (in the <Destinations> element), or they can be uploaded as parts of stored lists.

 

The system will support multiline insert values, but that gets a bit more dicey if you planned to upload them as CSV files, of course.
