GroupEntityId usage with UserCreate in C#

I received the API user ID but I am still not able to create accounts using the C# API. How would I find out whether API User ID has been setup as a Fax2Mail account?

Also, in the sample API it says, "When creating an F2M user, GroupEntityId must be present." How do I get this GroupEntityId?

Please provide the user ID that you are using for testing and we can tell you if it is associated with fax2mail.

The GroupEntityId identifies the group into which the newly created user should be added. To find the group ID, you can use the GroupList function to get a list of groups (and subgroups); the result of this call provides group entity ID's. In general, I suggest reviewing the account management API manual here: https://apiforums.easylink.com/emapidocs/24/index.html. This manual has pointers to the namespaces used for account management as well as details on each of the account management functions.

We are trying to create accounts in production using a production API ID. I have already emailed the ID information.

1. Does the production API ID need some additional level of access?

2. Do we need the GroupEntityId, even if we do not need a group structure? I tried the

GroupList function to get a list of groups, but it did not return anything.

Yes, you do need the GroupEntityId. And you need to be using an ID that is enabled as a Fax2Mail administrator account to do the account creation - the ID that was emailed is not a fax2mail ID.
