Issues with production endpoint hosts

Hi,

we use https://mrapi.pgiconnect.com/soap/sync and https://faxapi.pgiconnect.com/soap/sync endpoints to send emails and faxes. Can't tell exact time the problem began (for sure there was no such in June 2011) but we experience host resolving issues. Technically our code reports 'UnknownHostException: faxapi.pgiconnect.com' regularly. Switching to IP resolves the issue, but I want to confirm this will not lead to the problems during EasyLink maintenance windows when you apply traffic failover to backup servers.

We can telnet both hosts, ping and traceroute don't work though.

The UnknownHostException seems to indicate an issue with DNS.

Have you tried running DNS tests (nslookup, etc.) to see how that works?

Since this hasn't resolved itself for you over a few days, I suggest opening up a ticket with our support organization to have the issue investigated. On this forum we can help with how to use the API, but we can't really address possible network issues between your site and ours.
