File name restrictions & special characters allowed & disallowed in attachments to emails sent thru

Hi,

I am currently using EMAPI 2.4 for sending emails thru my application. Yesterday I tried to send an email with an attachment. The name of the attached file was 'xyz123[1].pdf'. The email did not get sent, probably due to the '[1]' in the file name.

Hence I would like to know if EasyLink has any restrictions on the names of files sent as attachments. If yes, what the restrictions are? Also, I would like to know what special chars are allowed & disallowed by EasyLink in the file names of email attachments.

That is a valid file name. We don't have any restrictions that do not apply to Windows or Unix. Will you provide the job number and URL you are submitting too. We will look up the actual error.
