Actually, EasyLink doesn't generate cid: type image references.
Can you please provide job ID's for your sample jobs so we can investigate further?
The job id for the 1st email is : usme:44354432.
The job id for the 2nd email is: usme: 42477219.
Thx.
The profile for this account is set up to send the images with the content (as a multipart/related message).
This is causing the problem where the images have the same src entry.
Generally speaking, mail readers should be able to handle this properly anyway (they shouldn't display embedded images from one message in another), but it may be that the iPad's mail reader has a problem with this.
I would recommend modifying the user profile for your account so it doesn't do this anymore; the images would then be regular pull images and you wouldn't have the duplication.
If this is acceptable, let us know and we'll get the profile updated.
I checked our emailing code. The cid:type image references are not generated by us.
Hi,
Thx for your reply !
In our code, we already send the imgs as pull files. Is there any other way of sending the imgs?
Secondly, I would like to know what would be the implications of modifying the user profile of our account?
No, you don't need to do anything different.
The change to the profile would make it so the pull files are not included with the email (as they are with the current settings). The image references would be regular http links (probably http://pull.xmr3.com/....), and they would be unique for each message, so images from one message wouldn't accidentally be used by the other one.
This has been causing problem again so we would like to change our account profile as suggested so that image ref. are change to regular http links (http://pull.xmr3.com). Could you make the change to UK/MRIRSOFT/AR please?
I have made the indicated profile change.
Please retest and let us know if it works for you.
