Getting Started - Can You Provide a Fax Example mapping data to a Template stored at easylink

I've looked at some of the C# examples that are provided in "Documents", but I'm looking for something a little different perhaps. 

It's my understanding that easylink will house a Template for us and we will request a Fax and map to that Template with data nodes in our request. What would that look like (in both code and the XML request perhaps).

Also - Will it be possible to send a fax to a single recipient rather than building a list of 1 and sending to a list?

Without a better idea of what kind of template you would be using, it's hard to provide a specific example, but I can give you some general ideas.  If you provide more of the background of what kind of template you'll be using, we might be able to give you a bit more detail.

In general, your job submit request would refer to the template, and then you would provide the recipient-specific data as "inserts".  One template format we use is called "BannerFX" - here is a sample of how that would be used in a job submit: https://apiforums.easylink.com/content/jobsubmit-faxoptions-bannerfx

You can certainly fax to a single recipient without building a list.  To do this, you would use the <Fax> element within your <Destinations>, rather than <List>.

Here's a quick XML example:

You can also include the insert values within the XML as an additional optional <InserList> sub-element.
