Asking about Job, Campaign and Template

Hi,

Just want to ask about something, I'm confused about the terms of Job, Campaign, and Template.

My main goal is to create email campaign programmatically from my application. I also want to track the result from the existing campaign (sent status, bounced status, opened status, etc). If I open the https://test2.myportal.easylink.com/ I don't see any Campaign tab, all I see is Job tab and sub menu for managin template. From my current perspective, template is sort of campaign template, and job is like campaign activity, but yet you have several different APIs for each type (job and campaign).

Can you explain me more about that, and is there any C# or VB.NET example so I can modify the way I need it to be?

As far as the system and the API are concerned, the only thing that is really supported is a job.  If you want to maintain information about campaigns and templates, those would have to be part of your own application.

You can use the CustomerReference field within a job submission to identify the campaign that your job is associated with, if you wish; then you can keep track of which is which.
