I am trying to authenticate using the login username and password to the portal https://apiforums.easylink.com/user. Please suggest asap.

XOA-2909 [User authentication not accepted] : login not permitted: reason code = 1000 msg-not found
You need seperate credentials to do a submit, not the API Forum credentials. On the bottom left of the Forum page is Create Test Account. You can use that or contact your Sales Person or PreSeles Engineer. The latter will be needed for Production Credentials.
