Correct formatting when update Date attributes (in categories) via Content Server API v1 (2014-06)

Hi there,

What is the correct format when updating a category attribute via Content Server API v1 (2014-06).

I have my variable set var sDate = new Date(); however when I pass this into the API it returns an error message of "Could not set feature, value must be Date"

Use a value of the string type, formatted according to the ISO 8601, but without the time zone:

yyyy-mm-ddTHH:MM:ss

Mind the letter "T" between the date and time parts. You will find a sample how to format it in a stackoverflow post, for example.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the ISO conversion built in to JavaScript:

new Date().toISOString()
JSON.stringify(new Date())

because it appends the time zone too. The server does not support time zones (yet).
