Rest Api to get a Content Server Node id based on path

Is there a Rest API, to get Content Server Node id based on path.

E.g.: if there is a folder “/enterprise/Sales/Customers” in Content Server, I want to get the Node Id for the same using Rest API, once I get the Node Id, we will be adding files and Categories.

One approach would be to do successive child searches from the enterprise folder:
Search 1: Get http://{host}/otcs/llisapi.dll/api/v1/nodes/2000/nodes?where_type=0&where_name=Sales
Should return a structure with the node id's of the Sales folder

Search 2: Get http://{host}/otcs/llisapi.dll/api/v1/nodes/{sales folder node id}/nodes?where_type=0&where_name=Customers

Basically building up the path one by one. This is using the Get Subnodes call.

Alternately, you could write a scheduled stored proc in the db that builds the full paths of all parent/child folders within the DTree table and cache it, then add a report over the top with the path as a parameter, and finally call the report (and parse the data out) instead of using the rest api. This has the advantage of needing only one call, but has a bit of overhead and may lag slightly depending how often you refresh your folder cache table.

I've gone the second route, as I've needed to search for a small number of folders with the same name that exist in the 3rd and 4th level of the tree across multiple branches. This would be pretty tough to do with the first method as there ends up thousands of http calls with the first method, vs a proc on a 10min timer and a single http call for the 2nd.
