PDF Corruption Issue using CS REST API

I am having an issue when posting PDF files created by our application to Open Text via the web services API. The files post fine, without errors. However, in certain scenarios they become “corrupted” and cannot be viewed.

The PDF files are nothing special. They are PDF/A files, version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x), with a text layer. When viewing the security properties in Acrobat Reader, all are allowed except for “Document Assembly” and “Page Extraction”.

Before committal to Open Text, the files are viewable in any application that can view PDF files.

After committal to Open Text, the files are viewable in Chrome, Edge, and the native Open Text web viewer. But downloading the files to view in Adobe Acrobat Reader yields the message: “There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.”

We are submitting the files using the HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse objects in C#. The files make it to Open Text with no apparent errors. During the course of troubleshooting, we also setup the native PostMan application and configured it to commit the same files directly, outside of our application. The results are the same.

Open Text Content Server version 16.0.9 (2018-06), build 1717.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

A screenshot of the issue showing success in the web viewer and the error will be attached.
