LAPI Doesn't work with MS Visual J++ v6

I have encountered problems using MS Visual J++ v6 with Livelink v7.3. Some calls, like accesslibrary and adddocument take over 1 minute to complete, where the same code using Visual Basic executes immediately. Is this a known problem, and is a solution expected soon?

I also tried to use MS Visual J++ v6 and I couldn't even get a login, however it is fine when I use Visual Cafe2.5. I was told from opentext that Java LAPI works fine in J++1.0
