Can anyone how Change Agents work to me?
Robert_Davies_(unlondonadmin_-_(deleted))
Hi folks.I *really* want to be able to modify the reports generated by the change agents system, and it's frustrating that it looks so complicated if I want to be good and not make my changes non-upgradable.The change I want is to have the Creator ID and Creation Date included for each item in the report. We think this information is vital in being able to prioritize this kind of information. As I have outlined in a couple of previous postings I think I have to replace an EventHandler and MessageHandler subclass in order to make the changes necessary. Please see those postings for my reasoning. Can anyone walk me through what I need to do?Best regards/matt.

This is information we also consider vital in the Change Agents reports. It was taken out of the reports in version 7 and I think that was a mistake. TransCanada PipeLines has asked for this information to be added to the standard message line repeatedly, but to no avail. I don't think it is something we want to customize either, I believe it should be part of the product. It there are privacy concerns, or whatever, then an admin option to turn them on or off could be created, but just omitting them is not the customer friendly way to handle the issue.I encourage yo uto put in a formal enhancement request to Open Text. I hope that with enough customers clamouring for this change, perhaps it will get done by Open text.Scott ChateTransCanada Pipelines

Here is a good example. Yesterday I entered th eitem above. Today I got a Change Agents report in my email and noticed an item on the topic. I couldn't see who wrote it or when it was entered, So I had to try to remember the title I used - did I leave a 'RE- ' in from the previous message, or did I take it out? If I took it out, then this Change Agent message would be indicating the title from a message in Reply to mine. That is one I should check out. Not having a perfect memory I couldn't recall my exact title used, so I click on the Change Agents message link and ... lo and behold, its my own message, so I just wasted my time. That's why I want author and datetime in the Change Agents report!!
