CORBA?

I have a question about Livelink and CORBA/DCOM:I have a copy of a Doculabs whitepaper that states that Livelink does not "make use of industry-standard object request brokering (ORB) technologies such as DCOM or CORBA."Is this still the case? Does anyone have any idea when Livelink will support CORBA? Can anyone point me to any resources on CORBA with respect to Livelink?

We have a product planned for release before the end of June that will provide a CORBA drop-in. It will enable an application module developed using the Livelink Builder to access any external CORBA service. This can be used to request CORBA services from within Livelink but not to make Livelink a CORBA service.We also have plans for a COM drop-in along similar lines.We are also using CORBA in the architecture of several Livelink product components. We are already shipping the Livelink Prospectors, which uses CORBA internally (we ship the Imprise ORB with it). We also have some new stuff in development that will utilize CORBA for distribution of services as a way of improving scalability.Let me know if you need further information.-Bill
