Best way to create custom Folder Browse content ?
Christina_Pultrone_(x-nasalewisadmin_-_(deleted))
Hi, Many groups of our users are requesting that the folders in their Projects and/or areas of the Enterprise Workspace have a custom set of information displayed for the items in the folders. For example, one group would like to see the Description of a document displayed under the other document info. They also want displayed some of the Attributes assigned to the documents in a folder. Things like Author and Document Date, and Security Level that were defined for a Category. What's the best way to do this ? So far, the way I did it was to create a new Livelink object that is a child of the standard Livelink Folder object and then override the Action-Browse script and associated HTML files. This causes some minor problems that I won't go into but mainly I want to know if this is the best way to go about this. Actually it would be nice if in a future version of Livelink the user could customize the content display of a folder using just Web forms. Thanks in advance!

We have a module called attrtab that creates an additional tab in the info page for all our customattributes. What is displayed on the tab depends onit being exposed in categories and attributes. We definecommon attributes to the system category and any othersare assigned to categories mapping to different businessuses. If you are interested I could look into giving you the code.
