How do I call "My New Module" functionality using LAPI ?

I've written a module accessed from the Admin page. I want to be able to call exactly the same functionality, but from an external functionality. I don't want to duplicate the code !

I've got an OScript module which is accessed from the Admin page and contains a whole load of code.Now, I have the situation where an external application (Active-Server-Pages, using VB6 COM objects) needs to trigger this functionality within Livelink. If it's possible, I presume LAPI will be involved, but IS this possible ? I don't want to have to write all my code in VB again, having already written it as OScript !

Hi, it is possible to extend LAPI to call custom OSCript code, but this capability is not currently documented or supported. We are planning to supprt capability in the future (8.2 or later time frame). We also have a product that provides COM access to Livelink. It is basically a COM wrapper over LAPI. You can ask your sales person about it, and/or do a search here is the KC. (keep it mind that it provides access to the existing LAPI functions --- it would not let you add you oen calls -- at leats for now).Simone OettingerProduct Manager
