Any Experiences in Customizing Livelink Search ???

For our project we need to customize Livelink Search.Is there any documentation about customizing tokenizer and index creation?We are thinking about - additional subregions in index to simplify our queries, - adapted tokenizer files corresponding to our datatypes, - tuning Livelink search for stability, speed, index size and result ordering.Any experiences with large query results ? I have a similar question with regards to extending the use of industryspecific synonyms.
