Need Statistics on use of Personal Workspaces...

Has anyone made (or can anyone make) a LiveReport to monitor the disk space usage per user in their Personal Workspace?The reason for this is some users may use their personal workspace for backup purposes and I would want to keep track of exactly how much space each person is using, then maybe also place a cap on that number. (If you have any advice on how to do that, I would appreciate it too!)

I currently use this SQL Statement for LL 8.1.5 running on Oracle 8.0.5. This shows you Total Space Consumed By all users in Personal Workspace. The only minor problem with this is that when the statement run in LIVEREPORT the report does not show you decimal values. If you run it directly in Oracle you get Decimal values.=========================================================select c.id, c.name, c.firstname, c.lastname, sum (b.datasize)/1048576 "Personal Folder Size in MB" from kuaf c, dtree a, dversdata b where c.groupid is not null and c.deleted = 0 and a.ownerid = -(c.id) and a.parentid >= c.id and a.dataid = b.docid group by c.id, c.name, c.firstname, c.lastname order by sum (b.datasize)/1048576 desc=========================================================

Run a query like this select * from dversdata where datasize < 0

Do you get some ?

Then usually that means that LL thought

It added a file but really did not make it

In your query you are trying to add integers

Plus an Error condition for missing

Version files so sum(datasize) won't

Quite jive so that could be the overflow error

If my thought is correct you need to apply patches etc so that you are not suffering data loss.

the docid that you get can be tied to dtree if you click on the file you will probably receive an error there also

Hi Jesse,

I suspect the interim value sum(b.datasize) gets too large before it can be divided by 1048576.

Internally this sum would be limited to 2GB.

Be slightly less accurate and calculate the size in MB first and then sum the sizes.

Use

sum(b.datasize/1048576)

in your select and order by.
