Refresh Functionality from LAPI

I was hoping someone could help me with a refresh related problem I'm having. (Actually, my client and their 1500 users are have the problem). When I create nodes in Builder, I call DAPI.Refresh in order to make sure the node is visible to future calls. Is there an equivalent call in LAPI? Our program which creates folders and subfolders is having a problem creating the subs after creating the parent. In builder, I usually use DAPI.Refresh to address this.
