Cumulative querie

I'm trying to write a cumulative query on dtree that looks like this. If the table would be filled with the followingdata:Createdate Dataid 01-01-2000 101-01-2000 201-01-2000 302-01-2000 402-01-2000 503-01-2000 604-01-2000 704-01-2000 8 With the simple query by day (select count(*)from table group by createdate) I would get thenumber of items created on every date. I would however like to have a cumulative result,so: Date Number of items01-01-2000 302-01-2000 5 +2>03-01-2000 6 +2+1>04-01-2000 8 +2+1+2>Can anyone help me ?!

If you are using Oracle, you may try this:select to_char(createdate,'yyyy-mm-dd') "Creation Date", count(*) "Number of Items" from dtree group by to_char(createdate,'yyyy-mm-dd') order by to_char(createdate,'yyyy-mm-dd')You must use the date format in this sequence: YEAR, MONTH, DAY or the result will not be sorted properly.To use it in other database, you may find a function to replace "to_char".
